Are you seriously this stupid? When have hospitals ever had to take care of anywhere near as many flu patients as they currently are with covid patients?
Covid continues, despite everybody pretending otherwise, and it is evident in hospitals. Anybody that thinks that this, coupled with imminent recession and all other macro economic and geopolititical challenges ahead of us bode well for an airline needs to get their heads checked.
Meanwhile, oil will only go up and the bulk of Joyce's hedging expires within 48 hrs. He's going to either have to be exposed to these high prices and pray that suddenly things change (which they won't) or lock in hedges at a forward curve that will bleed them dry.
