All the US carriers are paying top dollar for engineers and pilots now. Some captains receiving 600k USD. They're still undercutting Qantas and making giant profits. I think if you're worried about wages and productivity perhaps you should look up the tree at the bloated executive level and not the shit kickers down the bottom. On a global level Qantas employees are quite average on pay.
