yep...such a shame the national carrier makes a profit after three years of losses and it seem the TWU and un happy ex employees only want to take it down.

it would have been bankrupt years ago if someone didnt make very hard Decisions.

i remember when jetstar was spawned... basically it was because qantas could not operate as a cost effective airline in the face of new competition because of all the legacy benefits and overheads it had accumulated over the years.

so they had to create a whole.l new company as a subsidiary to be able to operate cheaper flights and compete. there were plenty of conplaints back then too.
