QAN is terrible at these sorts of things, but certainly not alone.
I purchased a business class ticket from ADL to BRI, for travel in July23 (admittedly it was a points purchase, but still)... no mention on VA website that the aircraft used on this flight does not have any business seats (737-700) ... found out I was "downgraded" to economy 1/2 an hour before the flight departed ... and did I get any sort of refund in points or otherwise, i F***ing wish.
Air travel in Aus is a complete shitshow since there are barely any regulations to protect customers from BS moves by the airlines ...
Will we ever see the same sort of rules that they have in Europe ... yes, when the pollies get out of the bed with the airline CEOs and head honchos.
QAN is terrible at these sorts of things, but certainly not...
