Australia’s largest airline Qantas Airways Limited (ASX:QAN) has launched a new business rewards program named Aquire. The program is aimed at small and medium businesses and will complement its existing Frequent Flyer program which was adjusted last week.

Qantas says businesses will now be able to earn Aquire Points offered by participating partners including Westpac Banking Corporation (ASX:WBC), GIO Business Insurance and Deloitte Private.

Aquire Points can then be converted to Qantas Points and redeemed for employees or individuals for flights and upgrades, hotel bookings, or items from the Qantas Store.

While it has been a tumultuous start to the year for Qantas Airways the company’s shares lifted 0.91 per cent over the first quarter to end yesterday at $1.11.

Qantas Airways reported a net loss of $235 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
