As I have said many times before, did you expect Qantas to move into Asia and make megabucks straight away?! Of course not, that is crazy.
The Asia strategic shift is essential IMO. That is where the growth markets are, the emerging markets. It aint going to happen overnight, it may take years. But once Qantas establishes itself it could bear fruit for years to come.
You guys on here always seem so against change? The global market changes daily, and you have to keep up!
I read an article stating that the average age of Qantas engineers is 52! That is quite staggering, and probably explains why there is such a rebellious type of culture at Qan against any sort of change.
