News: Qantas reviews senior team

Qantas Airways’ Limited (ASX:QAN) senior executive team will be reviewed by high-level consultants, with a particular focus on performance after the split of the national carrier's domestic and international operations, according to media reports.

 

Senior management have reportedly already held meetings with the external consultants over the past few weeks, as part of an overall review of the group.

 

The structure of the airline's executive team is reportedly a key focus of the review.

 

Media reports say the review is an attempt at giving accountability and direction to the international and domestic divisions, which split a year ago. 

 

The review also comes just months after Qantas inked a new internatioanl alliance with Emirates.  

 

Qantas generated a net profit of $111 million in the first half of the 2013 financial year.
