I think the clip illustrates it well. Did you hear how impressed that union leader was that they were going to be consulted? Did you hear how impressed he was that he may get a look at the figures that Qantas have so that his union members could compete for the work and beat all comers on price and efficiency.

Amazing, I will say, this is a great stride in the right direction and will give credit where credit is due to Joyce. This, IMO, is all the unions have ever wanted, to be able to work with management rather than a confrontational approach.

It is a pity that the management couldn't have come to this conclusion sooner, it would have saved shareholders $194m.

Hopefully we have a turning point in Qantas.

While I'm at it, does anyone want to explain why Qantas needs a board the size of BHP, even though the Qantas market cap is over $100B less? I noticed on a previous thread that I had plenty of thumbs up, only for them to disappear, so if you thumbed me down, I would like to hear your opinion.
