$300k is in lieu of notice, he was given immediate dismissal and this is calculated based on his salary. At least shareholders save the millions which would otherwise be paid if he had resigned and had met his performance goals which he had for the last 3 years. Maybe a change of leadership is good as long as the strategies that had been working are continued. Problem is QBE has continual changes for the last 10 years and all the money spent on projects/strategies go to waste or experienced staff are replaced
