QBE's 'intransigence' relates specifically to the wording of the policies.
Is the CV-19 pandemic included or excluded? The courts will rule. Not a large enough risk to be material to QBE.
If insured parties want pandemic cover, QBE will be happy to provide - for a price.
I restate my opinion: insurance is one of few sectors with pricing power in the pandemic and will emerge strong and profitable.
