Ramsay Health Care Limited (ASX:RHC) will acquire Peel Health Campus as part of an agreement with Health Solutions to operate a public hospital in the south of Perth.
The global hospital operator says the purchase marks the expansion of the company’s portfolio.
It says it hopes to redevelop the hospital’s emergency department, operating theatres and bed capacity. It also plans to build a separate private hospital facility on site.
The acquisition will be funded through Ramsay’s existing debt facility.
Ramsay Health Care reported $138 million net profit in the first half of the 2013 financial year.
