While still on the hunt for a new chief REA Group Limited (ASX:REA) has appointed non-executive director Peter Tonagh as its interim CEO.
Mr Tonagh will replace outgoing CEO Greg Ellis who announced his resignation at the end of 2013.
The company who own online real estate sites has affirmed the recruitment process for a permanent CEO is well underway.
In the meantime REA says Mr Tonagh will work with the board and senior leadership to continue the momentum of the company.
Mr Tonagh is the chief operating officer for News Corp Australia and was appointed to the REA Group Board in October 2013.
REA Group’s net profit climbed to $70.7 million in the first half of the 2014 financial year.
