Sydney Airport Holdings Limited (ASX:SYD) ended the year on a high with a record number of passengers.
There were 3.4 million passengers travelling via Sydney Airport in December, rounding out the busiest year ever with 37.9 million passengers in total.
The airport’s international terminal had its busiest day ever on December 21 with more than 47,000 passengers through its doors.
International traffic performed strongly growing by 5.2 per cent during December and 4.1 per cent over the year.
Inbound passenger growth was led by people from the UK, China and Singapore.
Sydney Airport delivered a net profit of $13.3 million in the first half of fiscal 2013.
