Solar isn't that "green" Massive pollution in the manufacturing process but of course that mainly happens in China so we don't count that. I would doubt that it is even cost effective as one must count the capital cost of having two sources so that work can continue when the sun isn't shining. "Feelgood" isn't necessarily science
