ResMed Inc (ASX:RMD) has won a patent infringement dispute over sleep disorder breathing devices, against Taiwanese manufacturer Apex Medical Corp.
The US International Trade Commission will stop the importation and sale of the Apex products in the US as a result of the US government investigation started at the request of Resmed.
Resmed says it’s not surprised by the swift ruling.
It says it will continue to defend its patents against any future threats.
Resmed generated a net profit of $143.7 million in the first half of fiscal 2013.
