July 31 (Reuters) - Australia's Regional Express Holdings (REX) emerged as the latest airline to enter voluntary administration, grounding its domestic Boeing 737 fleet and joining Virgin Australia and startup Bonza which have suffered a similar fate since 2020.
Rex Airlines's administrator, Ernst & Young on Wednesday said that the airline had entered into voluntary administration.
The company, which has been in the red, had been expanding its operations into major cities like Melbourne to compete with flag carrier Qantas (QAN) .
Trading in shares of Rex were suspended.
