Just like the GFC terrible salaries and terrible conditions will come back to bite Rex. From all reports from employees Rex is a great place to work but the conditions aren't ideal and there's an ever revolving door or pilots and engineers and with that is a huge cost in training. It's not cheap to train pilots and the moment the economy has a huge uptick all the majors start hiring and Rex will be chasing their tails for employees again. Disposal now, yes, disposal in the future, sure but at what cost?

By the way rex has the highest union membership out of any airline.
