News: RIO South Port New Zealand Expects FY20 Earnings Will Be Around 10% Lower, page-7

Its not looking to good for RIO aluminium smelters in OZ and NZ. The Aluminium price has crashed again and the LME stocks have jumped 200,000 tonnes, now at 1,009,700 tonnes.
"More than 200,000 tonnes of aluminium has been delivered into London Metal Exchange warehouses in Asia over the past week, pushing LME on-warrant stock levels back above 1 million tonnes."
" Total on-warrant LME aluminium stocks were now 1,009,700 tonnes, up from 788,850 tonnes on November 11. "

The aluminium price is back down to US$1740/tonne. Its not looking good for the  RIO Tiwai smelter in New Zealand.
Alcoa's Portland smelter must be on life support now with the cost of power in Victoria going through the roof.
Heaven help us all as Victoria is now contemplating offshore windmills, just imagine trying to navigate offshore in a yacht with these monstrosities dotted around in our oceans. The birds at sea will be a thing of the past as they get chopped up by the windmill blades.
No worries though, most greenies are sitting at home in front of their computers and wouldn't have a clue what actually happens around them.
