Following a disappointing result in FY17, the bioenergy business is now operating well.
The upgrade of the generators at the AJ Bush project in Beaudesert, Queensland has been completed, resulting in higher and more reliable generation for our customer and increased revenue for ReNu Energy.
(I wonder is that where some of/or all, of the 85K revenue stems from)
ReNu Energy and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency finalised the funding agreement for the 1.6 MW Goulburn Bioenergy project in May 2017. Project construction is underway and commercial operation of the project is scheduled for early 2018.
Renewable energy company, ReNu Energy Limited (ASX: RNE) is pleased to report the completion of Milestone 1 and receipt of $700,000 under the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) Advancing Renewables funding agreement for the Goulburn Bioenergy Project.
The milestone payment relates to the completion of earthworks and installation of the liner for the anaerobic lagoon, as well as the execution and commencement of the engine packaging contract. The construction of an anaerobic lagoon, biogas processing and power generation facility at the Southern Meats sheep abattoir in Goulburn NSW continues to progress on schedule. The cover of the lagoon was installed earlier this month, with generators anticipated on site mid-November and commercial operations in early 2018.

Goulburn Bioenergy Project can be our “Display Home” so to speak. Once the potential is realised then hopefully a Global Market for RNE... so fingers crossed we don’t see another proof of concept deemed financially worthless.. we as long term SH have already experienced that pain in the GDY days.
So... the Sun stops shining and the Wind stops blowing and the Batteries go flat...
Our loveable animals, the Pigs, Chickens and Sheep etcetera never all get constipated at once.. haha
