Holding Bullion can be seen in 2 ways. Maybe they are worried that something might happen at their mines and they will not be able to produce enough gold to fill their forward pricing commitments OR they are being very wise and are building up a reserve so that if the price of gold should spike up they have ready stock to capture the very lucrative forward pricing premiums that will be available. Seeing that Wellborn has a background in finance I would like to think that the latter is the case.
