The Golden Gods have been very kind to us.
We will know in the fullness of time which option (borrowing or capital injection) to obtain funds for the Ravenswood extension was the optimal approach to take. Borrowing $150m may have involved a lot of hedging which also has its risks and benefits. I do not think they could have concurrently funded the Ravenswood extension and Syama underground development from their cash balance and net operationing cashflow, so something had to be done.
