Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) has hit more copper from two step-out diamond holes at the emerging Monty copper-gold discovery, which is 10 kilometres east of the DeGrussa Copper-Gold Mine.
Drilling is part of a farm-in with Talisman Mining (ASX:TLM).
New results include: 1.0 metre at 8.6% copper and 0.3g/t gold from 343 metres; and 7.9 metres at 8.3% copper and 2.4g/t gold from 363 metres.
These hits are around 55 metres up-dip of the previously reported: 9.2 metres at 11.8% copper and 2.9g/t gold from 417 metres.
Drilling is continuing at Monty with additional diamond holes planned to test for extensions of the mineralisation both up and down-plunge, up- and down-dip and along strike.
Drilling is being supported by down-hole EM surveys.

Sandfire is earning a 70% interest in the Talisman’s Doolgunna Project.
The project forms part of its Greater Doolgunna Project comprising a 1700 square kilometre package of contiguous tenements surrounding the DeGrussa Copper Mine.
