    Newry - The thing is MG is still there and in a big way - I am not advocating they go away and there presence does help keep prices higher through greater competition but your argument does have some flaws.
    1) If MG was truly a non for profit organisation they should always be able to offer a higher milk price because they don't have to distribute profits to shareholders.
    2) If MG pays out all that is can anyway where did it come up with the money to offer $9+ for WCB.

    The fact is MG is out to make a profit, grow the business and look after its shareholders just like Saputo and Fonterra - the fact that MG's shareholders are also it's suppliers is neither here nor there as far as their business operation goes.
