The good news that comes out of this is that Lone Star are still in there and there is no suggestion that the offer will be withdrawn. Knee jerk reactions often offer a buying opportunity and margin calls, herd mentality and nervousness have resulted in a bit of overreaction. I can't imagine any of this is a surprise to Lone Star in their confidential discussions and all it really means is the deal is more likely now to succeed and a counter offer highly unlikely. A yes vote is more convincing now and I personally think it's worth the wait to get a 20% premium on today's prices.
