Seven West Media Limited (ASX:SWM) has confirmed reports it has won a multi-year broadcast deal for Gerry Harvey’s Magic Millions horse racing carnival.The media company has secured a long term, multi platform media rights agreement to broadcast and promote the Jeep Magic Millions Raceday and Carnivals.The event is held annually in January on Queensland’s Gold Coast and the multiple year partnership starts from today.Seven says the partnership adds further depth to its horse racing portfolio and significant long term opportunities for its marketing partners.The deal is in line with the company’s strategy to focus on live coverage of major sports events and leverage and expend this presence into new forms of content delivery.Seven West Media rebounded to a profit of $149 million in the full 2014 financial year.
