You may have missed a few bits and pieces that SGH did and announced about the acquisition.

Do check the following:-
- How many $million did they spend on DD?
- How many of their own experts did they put on the task?
- How many thousand files were they allowed to select for DD? (Thus incurring a fine?)
- Who were their additional external advisors and how much were they paid?
- Did Grech use industry standard DD metrics or did he gloat about using his own which was developed over years of prior acquisitions in order to complete the 'deal of the century's ?(clue...not the former)

......after all of that, they just took a blind punt I guess.
