April 10 (Reuters) - Global metals and electronics recycler Sims Metal Management (SGM) on Wednesday said it plans to expand its recycling and renewable energy businesses.
Sims said in a statement that it intends to install and operate seven 'waste-to-energy' plants within 10 years and to expand its landfill energy business through the building of a minimum of 50 megawatts of sites within the next six years.
The Australia-listed company did not specify where the expansion would take place.
