    Feb 13 (Reuters) - The Star Entertainment Group (SGR) on Monday said it expects to incur a non-cash impairment charge on its New South Wales business in the range of A$400 million ($276.68 million) to A$1.6 billion in the first half of 2023, owing to the Australian state's proposed hike in the casino duty rate in December.

    The casino operator forecast underlying earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation of A$330 million to A$360 million for the year ending June 30, 2023. ($1 = 1.4457 Australian dollars)
