April 29 (Reuters) - Australian casino operator Star Entertainment (SGR) said on Monday it has appointed Anne Ward as chairman, starting immediately.
Ward, who is already a board member, replaces Executive Chairman David Foster, who will remain on the casino operator's board on an interim basis.
The casino operator is facing a second inquiry into its Sydney operations.
The company is also conducting a search for a permanent chief executive officer, following the departure of Robbie Cooke in March.
Earlier this year, Star's chief executive and finance officer announced the intention of stepping down, amid the second inquiry.
