The owner of Optus, Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (ASX:SGT) has reported stable growth of just over $700 million for the first quarter.
The telecommunications company says that group revenue rose 12% to just over $3.5 billion.
And in Australia, Optus came in 2.6% higher for the June quarter, at around $1.8 billion, as its mobile business registered another consecutive strong performance.
The telco says performance in Singapore and Australia was strong, with mobile businesses reporting double-digit growth revenue.
Singtel has also advised its mobile customer base grew 34%, or an increase of 88.5 million new customers, to reach 351 million users, as at 30 June.
Singapore Telecommunications reported a profit of over $3 billion for the year to 30 March 2010.
