Sure, but why did SLR make that offer? I wouldn't have thought that Appian would bid more than the BNP debt. Appians input and expertise has already failed, so why throw more money down the hole?
Obviously SLR thought that this was the right play, and it appears to have been choreographed behind the scenes.
