Westpac Banking Corp (ASX:WBC) senior economist Justin Smirk tells FNN the US Federal Reserve is more likely to ultimately increase its stimulus measures, rather than taper.
Mr Smirk offers his outlook for commodities and says there's still plenty of activity in the mining sector.
He says the Australian dollar is likely to remain high for the time being.
Mr Smirk says the RBA is likely to hold the official cash rate until next year.
