trading on SMR shares is really thin, only 153,000 shares changed hands today. By comparison 1.2 million rights traded today. The price of SMR will probably stay depressed until Tuesday when the rights dumping by those not taking them up will end.
What I’m curious to see is how many rights are traded overall. The 5% or so of the company not owned by the top 3 shareholders yields about 35 million rights. So far about 2million have been traded and there are only 3 days left to sell them on the asx.
The huge price spike on Monday was off of only 800,000 odd shares traded, getting a boatload more shares into the hands of retail investors will really improve the liquidity of this stock.
