We've finally got the big move we've been waiting for! I like the aged care sector for SOL as their actually already building their own aged care homes with another partner separately to this deal. In terms of this takeover the sentiment seems pretty poor from the Regis shareholders (just look over on their hotcopper forum). Funnily enough this reminds me of the Hunter Hall situation at the end of 2016. They've once again secured the backing of the founder then made a takover bid for the whole company although in that case Peter Hall had sold them his shares and got out whereas in this case it seems he's intending to be their joint partner in the privately owned company. Could it be they actually only want to build a 20/30 percent stake like they did in Hunter Hall (which they then rolled into Pengana) rather than actually own the whole thing?
