Yep, you are right ... but it isnt 2 yrs, now it is just 15 months ... and its no guaranteed approval even then ... thats investing I guess.
2013 is racing towards us and the Qld Govt and this is the reported timing of first CSG LNG out of Gladstone ... there are insufficient reserves to support all consortia ... most approvals are not in place ... pipelines and LNG trains are nowhere to be seen ... environmental controls for the one of the most extensive dewatering of coal seam basins on the planet hasn't been resolved ... and therefore for the Qld Govt, royalty income streams are in jeapody.
UCG and CSG developed coincidently within a logical policy framework could ensure energy security for Qld and Australia ... export revenues for decades to come ... good environmental controls for ALL players and jobs galore.
Whilst ever Qld politicians are able to be influenced by agenda driven industry lobbyists (or an incomplete representaion of them lol) something less effective will emerge.
The sooner the CSG sector accept they cannot meet export objectives from Gladstone let alone satisfy domestic markets as well, the sooner their industry and UCG will move forward imo.
Interesting times for sure.
Chores and then golf beckons.
