The CEO has previously stressed the point about contracts with recurrent revenues (as you suggested). Hence, more stable income streams.
i agree with others that controlling costs is the key to higher EBIT. I can only assume that the company has a good idea of how much it can bite off (and chew) at any given time. I have confidence in how the company is progressing. Slowly and surely. Keith
