News: St George Mining readies to drill Desert Dragon North conductor

  1. St George Mining (ASX:SGQ) is now ready to drill a highly prospective off-hole EM conductor at Desert Dragon North, part of the company's East Laverton Project in Western Australia.

Nickel sulphide mineralisation was first encountered at Desert Dragon North in 2012 by St George in 2012.

The company intersected nickel sulphide stringers including: 2 metres at 1.08% nickel from 55 metres; and 2 metres at 0.43% nickel from 59 metres.

John Prineas, executive chairman, commented: “Most discoveries emanate from systematic exploration, so it’s very exciting to see our continued work at Desert Dragon North produce such an attractive drill target.

“Both geophysical modelling and geological interpretation identify the off-hole EM conductor as a priority massive sulphide target for drill testing.

“We are very pleased to include this conductor as a target in the drilling program now underway.”

Drilling at Desert Dragon North is part of a high-impact drilling program by St George, which will cover 7000 metres.

The program will take 6-7 weeks to complete.
