Same for us in SA, we closed down our last coal plant in 2016, then had the highest prices in Australia for the next 3 years. Its also consistently been the highest price for the last 20 years, currently its lower than QLD/NSW, but still higher than VIC, this year so far about 27% higher wholesale price. The price is on a steep upward trajectory currently and looks it might be the highest again soon.
Without Victoria, SA would have black outs every night.
