Well in SA we just passed the "climate emergency" on the back of 10k signatures from who knows lol
I think the problem is at night, when the wind doesnt blow, the battery can only provide less than 100MW for less than an hour, so we need the coal from VIC to compensate the lack of gas supply. Guessing also (not being an expert), in SA we need probably 100 times our battery capacity and then a huge increase in power during output the day to charge these batteries to last all night.
Hopefully STO has some more gas for SA, but dont see this happening as our premier is another woke lefty and we are closing down more gas than we open.
