MELBOURNE, Feb 19 (Reuters) - The chairman of Australia's Santos Ltd (STO) said on Friday he did not know what Chinese private equity firm Hony Capital plans to do with its growing stake in the company but saw its recent increase to 11.6 percent as a vote of confidence.
"We have no idea what their intentions are," Coates told reporters on a conference call after Santos reported a A$2.7 billion ($1.9 billion) loss for 2015.
