No doubt the Greenpeace legal team and followers will cycle to the courts. They will also petition the court to turn off the air con to reduce power generated directly or indirectly by fossil fuels. Lunch will consist of only food grown, processed and transported by renewable energy. No lunch then. Greenpeace followers will attend court in cotton clothes and not fibres requiring fossil fuels to manufacture. ( Here we ignore the vast amounts of water used for cotton cultivation etc). The dim light of candles will have to be used if court lights are powered by fossil fuels.
Should they arrive at court in a Tesla with a Greenie smirk on their face we might remind them of the vast amount of fossil fuel that went into mining the lithium in the battery, the fossil fuel powered transport of the raw materials to build the car etc. When they last charged the car did they use only renewable energy or plug into their household supply powered by coal?
The millions spent on this action could be better spent on renewable power infrastructure but some people can't see the wood for the trees.
