CommBank are attributing the hit to a response to this line from the trading update:
"In response to a cautious consumer, we have activated a higher level
of promotional activity across the business which has successfully generated top line
growth but adversely impacted margin." - Mr Anthony Heraghty, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Super Retail Group
Which could be read as 'sales are up, but don't ask about GP'
Still a buy from me, perhaps more so after this big slide...
