Investors are giving Super Retail Group the thumbs up for its plans to scrap the Amart Sports brand and convert all the 65 Amart stores to its more upmarket sports retailing brand Rebel
Super Retail expects to save $15 million in annual costs, to help fend off the competitive threat from Amazon and global sports giant Decathlon.
Shares are up 4 per cent at $8.76, taking their gains since late May, the trough of the recent slump in retail stocks, to more than 20 per cent.
