Bell Potter is suggesting that HSBC may be interested in buying Suncorp Bank.
What I can't understand is why Suncorp would want to sell its banking arm. Does it lose money? Doesn't insurance and banking complement each other?
The big four banks being on the nose should be a good time for the minors to grow but it seems they are all a bit at sea right now.
