Personally I am comfortable with this appointment. Julian Stephens is an exploration geologist but has limited experience in setting up and running a mine. He also was poor at promoting the company to serious investors. Frank Eagar has solid management experience in developing / running mines in Africa, including the finance side which is going to be crucial regardless of whether RIO take the lot.
