Definitely not a good deal for shareholders, particularly those looking long term. The consortium knows its a bargain at $8.75. Most long term holders would be very disappointed. I for one am very frustrated with the directors for recommending this. Those shareholders in favour may be after a quick buck, but very frustrating that such a high quality asset is being surrendered like this.
If this deal didn't go ahead, what do people think the SP would be in 5 years?
