Indeed. I would like to receive SYD dividends long into my retirement years rather than make some money now and have to shift it into another asset which may not have the same prospects or a reasonable entry price at the time.
Long-term means decades for me.
My guess is that if the deal did not exist, the share price would have hovered around $8 by 2026.
