Sydney Airport Limited (ASX:SYD) served a record total of 36.9 million passengers during 2012.
The total figure represents passenger growth of 3.6 per cent over the year.
December was the airport’s busiest ever month, with passenger numbers growing by 5.2 per cent.
CEO Kerrie Mather says the record figures were driven by growth in both international and domestic travel.
Ms Mather said international traffic grew by 5.3 per cent over the year, owing to a rebound in international tourism and inbound growth.
Sydney Airport Holdings recorded a net profit of $77.8 million in the first half of its 2012 financial year.
