In short, we will need all the technologies. Also, remember that cost always wins. ATM this means chemistries like LFP (graphite heavy) are front and centre. Even for Tesla new chemistry changes take time to get to scale and reduce cost. Doping with silicon (I don't think this is in LFP?)has started but there is a limit ATM. It will likely increase slowly.
synthetic is an interesting one. ATM low oil price means lower production price. Hopefully as peak demand for oil reduces we see prices increase, no idea when/if this might happen...
