West Australian-based resources company Tectonic Resources NL (ASX: TTR) has announced that Jason Stirbinskis is the company's new managing director, effective February 1.

Prior to joining Tectonic, Mr Stirbinskis was the managing director of Central Asia Resources.

He has also held executive roles at METS and Simulus mineral process engineering consultancies.

For the year ended 30 June 2010, Tectonic Resources reported a net loss of $2.2 million.
